On Wednesday, May 23rd, we had a very special guest at the Institute of Modern Languages. Carol Stafinski from Cleveland, Ohio, a representative of the Kościuszko Foundation and a music teacher, came to tell our students about the educational system in the USA, cultural and ethnic diversity in Cleveland, migrations, and the life of the Amish people in Ohio and Pennsylvania. The talk evolved into an interesting dialogue that was continued in the bistro on the 3rd floor of building L.
Today, as one of the events of the Arts and Science Festival at the University of Bielsko-Biała, prof. dr hab. Dorota Chłopek, in a series of lectures (one in English, one in Polish), has taken students for an inspirational tour guiding them into the world of cognitive overview of the world as hidden in metaphors we use every day.
